Double Axis Mixer
The double shaft paddle mixer is a user-friendly piece of equipment designed for rapid material mixing; it is widely used in organic and compound fertilizer workshops for the efficient blending of ingredients after proportioning. It features convenient feeding and a spacious mixing trough, allowing for the simultaneous input of multiple materials. Utilizing powerful twin shaft paddle mixing, the machine completes a batch cycle in anywhere from a few dozen seconds to a few minutes. Daily operation—primarily involving controlling feed quantities, mixing times, and discharge—is easy for workers to master. The equipment is highly valued in fertilizer mixing sections for its high efficiency and excellent mixing results.
Working Principle
Once materials enter the mixing trough, the two main shafts rotate in opposite directions; the paddles drive the materials to move axially in both directions while generating radial shear forces. A fluidized “boiling zone” forms between the two shafts, causing particles to rapidly exchange positions. The materials within the trough undergo continuous turnover, convection, and diffusion, ensuring uniform distribution of all components in a very short time. Upon completion of mixing, the material is discharged through the double-opening bottom doors.
Operation Methods
Before startup, check the trough for residual material or foreign objects, ensure the paddles are securely fastened and intact, and verify that the discharge doors operate smoothly.
After confirming the machine runs correctly while empty, add the material components according to the formula. Once feeding is complete, start the mixing timer; typical mixing times are 1–3 minutes for dry mixing and 2–5 minutes for wet mixing. If liquid spraying is required, apply the liquid evenly during the mixing process.
When mixing is finished, open the discharge doors to empty the machine; close the doors after discharge is complete to prepare for the next batch. If the machine is to be shut down for an extended period, clear any residual material from the trough.
Application Scenarios
