Horizontal crusher
Horizontal crushers are located at the front end of the crushing section in organic fertilizer and compound fertilizer production lines, undertaking the tasks of coarse and medium crushing of materials. Large lumps of fermented material, hardened raw materials from storage, and large particles requiring return are all initially crushed by horizontal crushers before entering fine crushing equipment for further processing according to process requirements. It is the crushing equipment with the largest processing capacity and heaviest workload in the entire production line, and its operational stability directly affects the overall production capacity.
Crushing Process
Horizontal crushers in production lines typically operate in open-circuit or closed-circuit modes. Fermented materials are fed into the crusher by a loader or conveyor belt, and after crushing, they directly enter the next process—open-circuit crushing, suitable for coarse crushing operations with low fineness requirements.
After crushing, the material is screened, and the coarse material on the screen is returned for further crushing—closed-circuit circulation, suitable for processes with strict requirements on output fineness. Horizontal crushers can be used in series with chain crushers, cage crushers, and other fine crushing equipment to form a two-stage crushing process of coarse-fine crushing, ensuring both processing capacity and output fineness.
Technical Advantages
Strong coarse crushing capacity; large materials are crushed in one pass, reducing pre-processing steps.
High throughput; single-machine capacity can meet the material requirements of medium to large-scale production lines.
Combined with fine crushing equipment, clear division of labor ensures high overall crushing efficiency.
Good adaptability to wet materials; no drying is required after fermentation, saving drying costs.
Horizontal structure facilitates connection with upstream and downstream conveying equipment, allowing for flexible production line layout.
Applicable Scenarios
First-stage coarse crushing of large materials after fermentation in large-scale organic fertilizer production lines; a single machine can support the entire line’s capacity, making it the main equipment in the crushing section.
Crushing and breaking down tough clumps after fermentation of high-fiber straw and manure; effectively tearing and breaking down long fibers, reducing the load on fine crushing equipment.
Forming a two-stage coarse-fine crushing process chain with chain or cage crushers; coarse crushing at the beginning and fine crushing at the end, balancing throughput and output fineness.
