Horizontal Mixer
The horizontal ribbon mixer is a user-friendly, high-speed mixing machine designed for the uniform blending of ingredients in organic and compound fertilizer production facilities. It offers convenient loading and unloading, requires simple operational control over mixing duration and discharge timing, and entails straightforward routine maintenance. A single batch can typically be mixed in just a few minutes with high efficiency and excellent results, making it a standard piece of equipment for the ingredient-mixing stage of organic fertilizer production lines.
Working Principle
Once materials enter the mixing trough, rotating blades push the material axially in two directions: the outer blades move material forward while the inner blades move it backward, creating a continuous circulating flow within the trough. Simultaneously, the blades exert shearing and dispersive forces on the material, causing the particles of various components to constantly shift positions. After a brief mixing period, the components achieve a state of random, uniform distribution. Upon completion, the mixture is discharged through the bottom outlet.
Operation Methods
Before startup, inspect the mixing trough for residual material or foreign objects, ensure the blades are intact and securely fastened, and verify that the discharge gate is tightly closed. After confirming the machine runs smoothly while empty, add the ingredients according to the formula sequence. Once loading is complete, start the mixing timer; a mixing time of 2–5 minutes is generally sufficient to achieve uniformity. If liquid additives are required, they can be sprayed evenly into the mixture via a spray pipe during the process. After mixing, open the discharge gate to empty the machine, then close the gate to prepare for the next batch. If the machine is to be shut down for an extended period, clear any residual material from the trough.
