How to ensure the quality of fertilizer processed by fertilizer crusher?
The fertilizer crusher is a key piece of equipment in NPK compound fertilizer production. If crushing is uneven, it can lead to inconsistent nutrient distribution, uneven particle sizes, and even affect crop absorption.
1.Choose the Right Crusher Type
Different raw materials vary in hardness and moisture, so select the right crushing equipment. Pick a suitable model based on material properties to ensure the crushed particle size (typically 0.5–2 mm) meets the next stage’s requirements.
2.Control Feed Size and Moisture
Feed size: Initial material shouldn’t be too large (recommended ≤50 mm). Oversized feed can overload the fertilizer crusher.
Moisture control: Raw material moisture should be ≤15%. Higher moisture causes material to stick inside the crusher, reducing efficiency.
3.Adjust Crusher Settings
Speed control: Too high causes excess powder; too low results in incomplete crushing.
Screen size: Choose the right screen (typically 1–3 mm) based on product needs to ensure uniform particles.
4.Maintain Equipment Regularly
Check wear parts: Replace screens, liners, etc., regularly to prevent wear from affecting crushing.
Lubrication: Regularly lubricate bearings and transmission parts to reduce wear.
5.Test Crushed Material
Particle size: Measure the size distribution to ensure it meets standards.
Nutrient uniformity: Sample and test N, P, K content to confirm even mixing after crushing.
Moisture control: Crushed material moisture should be ≤5%. If higher, further drying is needed.
The fertilizer crusher’s performance directly affects the final fertilizer’s quality and effectiveness. By selecting the right equipment, adjusting settings, operating properly, and maintaining regularly, you can ensure uniform particle size and balanced nutrients—setting a solid foundation for the next steps.
