Common fertilizer screener machine failures and quick solutions

Fertilizer screener machines are key equipment in NPK fertilizer production lines, separating qualified granules from return material. However, long-term operation can lead to efficiency problems due to wear, blockages, or improper operation.

1.Abnormal Vibration or Unstable Amplitude

Causes: Loose or detached counterweights on the vibration motor. Aging or broken rubber springs. Loose base mounting bolts.

Fix: Recalibrate the motor counterweights (adjust symmetrically). Replace rubber springs or add buffer shims. Regularly tighten anchor bolts and ensure level installation.

2.Bearing Overheating or Unusual Noise

Causes: Insufficient or contaminated lubricant (dust entering seals). Worn bearings or uneven force on bearings (over-tightened belt).

Fix: Clean the bearing housing and replace with double-sealed bearings. Check belt tension and ensure it’s properly adjusted.

3.Reduced Screening Efficiency

Causes: Wrong mesh size selected (like using a 4mm screen for 2mm granules). Material flow exceeding machine capacity. Incorrect screen deck angle (standard is usually 15°~25°).

Fix: Match screen mesh to granule size. Control feed rate (use the frequency converter on the feeder). Adjust the height of the screen box supports to optimize the angle.

4.Material Leakage or Seal Failure

Causes: Aging or damaged sealing strips. Loose connecting bolts causing box deformation.

Fix: Replace seals with silicone strips (better corrosion resistance). Use flange-style bolted connections and check tightness regularly.

In short, fertilizer screener machine faults often stem from wear, blockages, or poor installation. Targeted fixes and regular maintenance extend equipment life and ensure screening precision.
