Common faults and treatment methods of a flat die granulator
Flat die granulator is a kind of equipment widely used in pellet manufacturing. It may inevitably encounter some faults during use. The following are some common faults and their treatment methods:
- The granulatordoes not discharge
The moisture content of the material is too high.
Treatment method: Dry the material to make the moisture content reach the appropriate range, generally 10% – 15%.
The die hole is blocked.
Treatment method: It is necessary to stop the machine and use special tools to clean the die hole. You can use a steel needle to carefully poke out the blockage.
- Poor pellet forming
The material is not mixed evenly.
Treatment method: The material should be fully stirred and mixed again to ensure that the various components are evenly distributed.
Insufficient pressure.
Treatment method: Check the hydraulic system or the screw extrusion part. If it is a hydraulic system problem, check whether there is oil leakage and add hydraulic oil. If the screw is worn, the screw needs to be replaced in time.
- The material cannot enter the ring die
The feed port is blocked, the conditioner is blocked, and the feeder transmission device fails.
Treatment method: Clear the feed inlet, clean the conditioner, and check the feeder transmission device.
- Motor overload
Too much material input.
Treatment method: Reduce the amount of material input and feed according to the rated output of the flat die granulator.
There is a foreign matter inside the machine.
Treatment method: Stop the machine for inspection and remove foreign objects, especially in the area between the screw and the die plate.
- Excessive noise
Bearing wear.
Treatment method: New bearings need to be replaced, and pay attention to bearing lubrication during daily maintenance.
Loose parts.
Treatment method: Check each connecting part, such as screws, nuts, etc., and tighten them.
In short, for the fault of the flat die granulator, it is necessary to discover and accurately handle it in time, and regularly maintain the equipment, so as to improve the service life and production efficiency of the equipment.
