Rotary drum granulator: Efficiently transforming organic fertilizer into premium pellets

The rotary drum granulator is a core piece of equipment in modern organic fertilizer production. It uses unique mechanical movement to convert powdered organic raw materials into uniform pellets.

1.Raw Material Preprocessing
Fully fermented organic material is crushed to a fineness of 80-100 mesh. Its moisture content is adjusted to the ideal range of 25% to 35%. Necessary binders and nutrients are added according to the formula.
2.Feeding and Mixing
The preprocessed material is evenly fed into the drum via a conveyor belt. A spray system simultaneously adds a suitable amount of liquid binder. Initial agglomeration of the material begins inside the drum.

3.Core Granulation
The drum rotates steadily at 15-25 rpm. Under centrifugal force, the material continuously tumbles and collides. Fine particles gradually agglomerate into spherical pellets of 3-5 mm.
4.Pellet Strengthening
Continuous rolling makes the pellet surface denser. The internal structure gradually compacts and solidifies, finally forming premium pellets with a compressive strength of over 10N.
5.Discharge and Screening
The finished pellets exit through the discharge port. A vibrating screen separates qualified pellets from powder. Fine powder returns to the system for re-granulation.

A high-quality rotary drum granulator not only improves the pellet formation rate and pellet strength of organic fertilizer but also significantly reduces energy consumption and production costs. Proper operation and maintenance of the rotary drum granulator ensure both efficiency and quality in organic fertilizer pellet production.
